About us

Welcome to stopscreentime.com!

Every year that goes by, we become busier, more distracted, with less time to think. This makes many parents start allowing more and more time with mobile phones, tablets, televisions and other devices, which in turn gets children used to receiving dopamine without thinking — just by looking at a screen. This makes it harder and harder for them to generate that dopamine and have fun without those stimuli.
Or at least that is what I, the founder of stopscreentime.com, have been observing for years — and that is why I decided to begin this project.

In addition to getting used from a young age to receiving dopamine without “doing anything,” screen time has effects on eyesight, neck and back that we all already know, but that — precisely because of the current pace of life — we often don’t take into account as much as we should, even though this can cause serious long-term problems for both children and adults.

The quality time we spend with our children (being in the same room while each person looks at a screen does not count) is, on average, lower every year. We always keep this in mind when deciding which toys to include in our store, trying to ensure that parents and children can enjoy themselves together.

On top of that, there is a trend among traditional toy companies that have spent years focusing on creating toys that catch children’s attention, but don’t offer long-lasting entertainment, pushing parents to buy more and more toys when their children get bored of the ones they already have.
We try to make all our products fun for children of all ages, and to motivate them to improve and train their intuition, agility and coordination over time.

We want to help all parents establish a healthy balance between the digital world and real life. We want screen time to be lower and for children to keep using their creativity, while playing with adults and strengthening their bonds with them.

Show them our toys and ask them which ones are their favourites!
